3 The Hard Way 'Set In Stone' Release on Feb 28th!

Colorado hip-hop cartoons?! Nice. The best part, it marks the announcement of 3 The Hard Way's 'Set in Stone' album release coming February 28th, 2009 to the Marquis Theater. I know I mentioned it last month, but this comes with unbelievable news. The release party is being guest-hosted by, who other than, Dilated Peoples' own, Rakaa Iriscience.
If you didn't hear the groups previous collab's with the Dilated crew, a track called 'Mainstage' featuring Defari was released this past New Years (listen to the track). Now they've conjured up Rakaa as a special guest host and even DJ Babu (of Dilated Peoples) will be making his appearance for the show. ManeLine (Mane Rok, InkLine & DJ Tense) have been lined up to feature at the show as well, maybe as a return favor to the ManeLine trio for featuring 3 The Hard Way at their album release of '...& Sew its Seams' back in October last year (2008).
'Set In Stone' has already developed a following from bloggers and journalists alike, including a smokin' review of the entire album by Dave Herrera of the Westword's Backbeat blog, who, two years ago, didn't give the groups first push (A.V.I.U.S.'s solo album entitled 'Patience') even a nod. This album, however, seemed to impress the hardly-moved journalist to publish an article where he calls the trio's song 'Reach for the Stars' (scroll down to listen) his favorite song at the moment, period. He included the song on the post and he even threw in a sneak peak of the entire album, which is definitely a teaser (Read it here).
The trio has been on their own grind lately with an astonishing amount of shows & performances as A.V.I.U.S. (the MC) & EsNine (the producer) rock the stage, always being sure to throw in the DJ Cysko Rockwell turntablist break to show off his wrist-flicking technique. Now pushing this new album, with features from all across the board: ManeRok (ManeLine/LIFE Crew), InkLine (ManeLine/LIFE Crew), Aurora Lopez, Doujah Raze (Trillogy Records), Braille (LightHeaded), Rakaa (Iriscience) of Dilated Peoples, and Defari (Likwit Junkies).
And you know I couldn't go through all the exciting news without another single, from the new album, of my own! So here it is, two new tracks from the upcoming album 'Set In Stone'.
