Site Updates, Writers, Audible Attention, Rap Up

What it is Colorado?!? First of all, I'd like to extend a thanks to all of those who have made the first week of COStandUp.com a hit. If you have seen for yourself, the site has generated a good amount of traffic for its first opening week. We hope the site has a positive affect on the Colorado hip-hop scene as it progresses.

With that said, we would love to feature your music, video, art, or anything related to Colorado & hip-hop, all it takes is an email to submit(at)costandup.com. Any and all Colorado hip-hop is welcome for review and most will be featured.

Now, if you've been visiting regularly you'll notice that small updates to the site have been springing up all over, including the addition of direct feed's and links to other Colorado hip-hop blogs. If you have a blog and are interested in being included send an email to just.one(at)costandup.com. More updates are in the works including:
· Completing all and basic pages
· Acquiring artist profiles of any artist that has music or art featured on the site
· Interviews
· Reviews
· Upcoming show & CD release calendar
· Contests, prizes & more for active visitors

We are also speaking with a few more writers because at the time the articles are being handled entirely by yours truly, so be watching out for additional authors.

As for myself, I'm sure some of you have asked 'who is that', and I have even seen some attempts to check the whois on the costandup.com domain name and multiple views to the source, so let me explain one thing: you most likely do NOT know who I am, I intend to keep it that way, I am a fan of ALL Colorado hip-hop, and for those of you who are curious, I will not discriminate (that's the job of the CO fans).

Enough about COStandUp.com & lets get to the Colorado hip-hop news that you came for!

If you keep up with Colorado hip-hop sites, you'll see that Audible Audities (for today I will call the Auds) & Audible Abilities (who I will call the Abs) are going at it this weekend on Basementalism. Yes sir, the Colorado Rap Report is stating that on Saturday (January 10th, 2009), the biting Abs need to give up the name & give up the game to the original Auds live on the underground radio (1190 AM in Boulder/Denver), and since Bobby at the Report announced the battle yesterday (January 7th, 2009), comments have already been spurred requesting the groups do a show contest and compete fan base vs fan base. I guess we'll see who's the Audible group.

OK. Here we are..and here's the deal. We are going to be on 1190 AM Basementalism, and we had talked about clearing things up about this whole ridiculous situation, but decided we didnt even wanna stoop to that level...last thing we (as the original AA) want is a retarded "beef" thing to give them more attention..no thank you.. So our decision was to just play some new music for ya'll and ONLY adress that issue if asked..Fact is, we've been around for YEARS as Audible AUDITIES (trademarked/copywrited), and the fact they are DEFINITELY pulling good shows because the venues booking them think they are us is our biggest concern(what was wrong with OUTSPOKEN???...besides the fact they have NO respect for hip hop politics.We could go to Minneapolis and call our selves ATMOSPHERICAL, but we got more respect than that. They got ALOT to learn about hip hop obviously...and thanks to all our supporters and love over the years....we gotta show @ Hermans Hideaway Jan 22nd in denver if ya'll wanna hear some good music...luv

Q's been on his grind lately too, posting almost daily for the Westwords Backbeat Blog in the Rap Up Section, so just in case COStandUp.com isn't filling your CO hip-hop prescription and you hate waiting for updates on his Denver, CO Hip-Hop Blog, Mr. Moreno is on it. We've attempted to pull the feed and give you updates here as well but it seems the feed is dedicated to the Backbeat as a whole, and since this is a Colorado hip-hop site, I voted against it.

With all that in, no audio or video today so if you want some, come back this weekend, spread the word & submit your work! And until the next drop, CO stay on top!
