'Of Gods and Gangsters' from The Pirate Signal

The Pirate Signal

Well I'm sure that you heard The Pirate Signal got their open slot a while back in the 3Oh!3 line up, but have you heard the new mixtape Of Gods and Gangsters? Well this mixtape ain't a pillow so STOP SLEEPIN!

Yes, we all know Yonnas can kill a beat or two but throw him a mixtape's worth of instrumentals (from Kanye West, M.I.A., 50 Cent, DJ Premier, and more) and it couldn't be any less than a massacre. Now it's been a classic debate that mixtapes either kill the game or keep it alive, especially in C.O., so you can only assume that the mixtape features two self-produced singles: 'No One Seems to Care' and 'Live at the God's Lounge (W.A.N.R.N.W.A.P.B.G.)', the second coming off of the forthcoming album OneAlone due Fall '09.

With DJ A-What! lacing the entire mix with his own cuts and Joey Kuvo engineering and perfecting the sound, this is the first of what will be a monster series. Oh you heard me right, a series, with word that Of Gods and Gangsters: Volume II will be available as early as Spring '09.

Download the entire mixtape for free on DatPiff.com:

A year already presumed to be colossal for the entire C.O. Hip-hop scene, the mixtape ups the bar and sets a standard for the rest of '09 before it's even started.

The album is also up for further discussion in the Discussion section on the Reviews board. Join and discuss! Let your voice be heard (haters welcome!)

And until the next drop, CO stay on top!
